Millington is a city in Shelby County, Tennessee. As of the 2000 census, the city had a population of 10,433. It is the home of Memphis Motorsports Park. The city is located about 9 miles north of Memphis, Tennessee in Shelby County. The city is close to Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park, Fort Pillow State Historic Park and the Mississippi River.As of the census of 2000, there were 10,433 people, 3,633 households, and 2,699 families residing in the city.
